December Newsletter

Just like that its December ❄️

Though the year has sped by hopefully your knitting and crochet allowed you time to slow down and unwind. As the hustle bustle of the upcoming holidays draws near I hope you take time to revel in your yarn crafts. Find some solace in the quiet moments creating fabric with your hands.

What projects do you have planned for the new year. Will this be the year you finally cast on that sweater you've been admiring? Remember patterns are guidelines to help you make a custom curated wardrobe. The Knotty Knittress is here to help with each step along the way. Picking out the yarn and colors. Helping get your proper measurements. Navigating the dreaded gauge swatch. Deciphering the sometimes tricky pattern language. Picking the perfect Bind off. I am here to hold your hand and offer encouraging words.

We have a few things happening this Holiday Season in the shop

Holiday Movie Night will be Saturday December 13th 3pm - 5pm. We will be showing "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Starring Jim Carrey. On the outskirts of Whoville lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans to ruin Christmas for all of the citizens of the town. To watch this movie with us please reserve your seat by purchasing the stitch marker set.

We are a collection location for Oregon's Vanished "Crochet(or Knit) for a Cause" we are accepting hand made hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, and stuffies for foster children across Oregon. Donations needed by December 15th.

Santa Skein Swap! Saturday December 20th 6pm - 8pm
What to do? Bring one wrapped full 100 gram skein from your stash that you can part with. Feel free to notate what weight yarn it is.
How will it work? We will draw numbers and select a skein to open. Don't get too attached the next person can steal it. But don't worry everyone will go home with a skein.
Please R.S.V.P. by email, call or stop in the shop. So we can get a proper head count for goodie bags and treats.

The Knotty Knittress will be open Christmas Eve December 24th 10 am to 2pm for any last minutes gifts. Then we will be closed until December 30th when we will resume normal hours.

We still have a few Mystery Skeins available. They make great stocking stuffers for the yarn lover in your life and a great treat to yourself.

Thank you all for continuing to make us part of your yarn journey. Supporting small business is so important for the vitality of our community. I hope to see you all sometime this month.
